Hyaluronic Acid

Anti-aging moisturizing

It's well-known that Hyaluronic Acid, the main component of dermal glycosaminoglycans (GAGs), performs many important functions for the skin: its high molecolar weight and its pronounced hydrophilia allows this precious component to retain water up to 500 times its volume.

In addition Hyaluronic Acid carrys out an antioxidant/antiradical action too and creates a favourable enviroment to cellular migration and differentiation, operating as one of the most important agents in the processes of cutaneous repair through mechanisms mediated by specific receptors.

A surprising fact about hyaluronic acid is that has the characteristic of being structurally identical in every species, and so has high bio-compatibility. This property, together with functional characteristics of support and volumetric increase, have enabled the Acid's remarkable success in aesthetic corrective treatments, above all in antiaging.

So, besides its wide use in stabilized form as a corrective skin filler for the correction of wrinkles and expressive lines, for many years it has been used in cosmetic creams because, "settling" in the fist strata of the corneum layer, it effectively increases the water level of the epidermis, and so is able to indirectly stimulate the activity of fibroblasts and improve in this way the fuctional properties of the dermis.
